A real artist and I need your help on our soon-to-be released book. Natalie Ott Schuldt has created some lovely block prints to go with essays I've written on how creatures like frogs, bats, sea cows and people live up here on the fringe.
Last Friday, we got lots of feedback at the Morris Thompson Center on four cover designs by Vicki Daniels. The top two were only six votes apart. I'm not going to tell you which was slightly more popular. Which cover do you like best?
Option 1
or
Option 2
The winner of the popular voting, here combined with last week, will be our cover. Thank you for participating in this democratic process. Leave your vote in the comments section.

I like them both. But something about the font used in Option 2 seems discordant. I think it is the author/artist font in comparison to the title font; in my opinion they don't flow together. However, the fonts in Option 1 mesh well. And, I like the overall look of the cover.
thanks, Erin
I like #2. I've been reading you're articles in the paper to my Mom at Denali center for years. They are concise , interesting, and so well written. Very much looking forward to the book!

Thanks, Karen. And thanks for reading to your Mom!
Option 1! But I don't know if my vote counts. ;)

#2, though both look great. Best of luck with the book!
Congratulations on the book Ned!
I like option two. The title in number one looks too squished.
Option one - long and wispy like the trees
Option 2. It looks more balanced to me.
We like option 2 for the overall effect, though the font doesn't quite flow as nicely as that in option 1.
(And I should say this is Dana and Sonja)
I like the first option. I dont know, but I think it fits more in the whole cover and I like the style of the letters ;)
Well done. :)
